The exhibition explores how gender is shaped and expressed across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood — both in private and public spaces. It examines how gender identity is formed, often wordlessly, and how it consciously and unconsciously shapes our choices in life.
From expectations before birth to toys, speech patterns, consumer culture, media, and even the design of streets and cities — the world constantly signals how we should behave and who we are. These signals reinforce gender divisions, perpetuating inequality and social conditioning.
The exhibition invites visitors to question these assumptions, to see reality through a gender-aware lens, and to reflect on what may seem self-evident. Through personal, urban, and social perspectives, it encourages observation, understanding, and perhaps change.
