This exhibition provides a look into the “behind the scenes” of the medical design craft, where ideas and solutions emerge and navigate the development process to the final product, and are a prerequisite for its success. The design of medical devices is often an internalized and anonymous design. It cannot compete with the attractiveness of consumer product design and the expressiveness of personal design. Hence, in this exhibition, which focuses on the design of medical devices, the culmination of the development and creation process – the finished product, is only an excuse and a starting point for the body of the exhibition.

Each product is an outlet for a “path” that seeks to illuminate the profound impact of the industrial design discipline and the challenges it faces as part of the overall process of developing medical devices. Each path is divided into segments by accepted milestones that represent summary and decision-making points in product development processes: Brief and Research, Preliminary Design and Ideation, Concept Design, Integration, and Detail Design and Realization.
