What is a “real” wood and what is a “fake” wood?
The concept of simulacra describes a model, replica, imitation or representation of an original object. In today’s world, imitation is often more common than the source product, to the point that it sometimes seems original and receives additional representations and interpretations. This project addresses questions concerning raw material, processed material and their graphic representations,y matching wood shreds to materials such as veneer, Formica and wood-like wallpaper.
